Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of a luxury private island. Responsible for leading a dedicated team, this position focuses on maintaining high standards of service and functionality across all facilities. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to foster a safe and efficient environment for both staff and guests.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance team in daily operations to ensure all systems are functional and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies for all equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate repair services and manage vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on maintenance activity and project progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance management or engineering, preferably in a luxury or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and mentor team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical discipline is a plus.
