Job Summary
The Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position in Newport, OR, offers healthcare professionals the chance to provide critical respiratory care services while experiencing the unique environment of the Oregon coast. Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy assessments and utilize clinical judgment to determine patient care requirements.
- Administer prescribed respirational treatments and therapies, including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and nebulization therapy.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on evolving clinical conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and wellbeing.
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory health, treatment options, and optimal usage of respiratory devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated with the latest advancements in respiratory therapy.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to varying patient needs.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Willingness to travel to various healthcare facilities as needed.
