Job Summary
The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Palliative Medicine will play a pivotal role within a dedicated interprofessional care team in Lake Forest, Illinois. This full-time, daytime position focuses on delivering compassionate patient-centered care to individuals with serious illnesses, advancing both treatment and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of physicians and healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Assist in establishing and achieving patient-centered goals of care.
- Prescribe and order medications and therapies as needed.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays to facilitate appropriate medical evaluations.
Qualifications
- Must hold a master’s degree in nursing or a related field.
- Must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Experience in acute care or palliative settings is preferred.
- Strong skills in communication and teamwork.
