Job Summary
The role of Construction Manager – Mechanical Engineer involves providing Owner’s Representation services on-site for various construction projects located in Gainesville, Florida. This position is full-time and requires significant expertise in mechanical engineering, particularly in areas such as duct banks, electrical systems, HVAC, emergency power, and fire protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction projects ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise all aspects of mechanical construction, including electrical and HVAC systems installation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between the project owner and contractors to facilitate communication and address issues that arise during construction.
- Monitor project progress and report on performance metrics.
- Minimum of 15 years of direct experience in construction management, particularly in mechanical engineering projects.
- Proven knowledge of construction processes, principles, and best practices.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Relevant certifications in construction management or mechanical engineering are advantageous.
