Job Summary
The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) is essential for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Located in Watertown, New York, this position is offered on a contract basis for a duration of 13 weeks and requires the RN to work onsite.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the OR.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage patient assessments and assist in surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow operating room protocols.
- Provide necessary support during preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Ensure effective communication with patients and their families regarding care plans.
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required by the schedule.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care technologies.
