Job Summary
The Assistant Microbiologist I position, based at the Sturgis, MI plant, is an essential role that supports the microbiological testing and analysis required in our production process. The individual will play a key role in maintaining the quality and safety of our products through rigorous testing protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards during testing procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to guarantee accuracy in results.
- Document results meticulously and assist in preparing reports on microbiological findings.
- Participate actively in laboratory investigations related to microbiological incidents.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices.
- Experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in a pharmaceutical or food industry, is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively on the 3rd shift, from Tuesday to Saturday.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
