Job Summary
WellMed Networks, Inc., a member of the Optum family, is looking for a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team in Leander, Texas. This role involves working in a hospitalist capacity, providing essential medical services on a rotating schedule of seven days on and seven days off.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients within a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Manage patient care through monitoring and follow-up.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and wellness.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Active state licensure to practice in Texas.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a hospital or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
