Job Summary
This role involves delivering expert nursing care to patients in the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages, as well as providing care for newborns. The position requires monitoring the progression of labor and effectively responding to obstetric emergencies, while also leading a healthcare team and educating families about the care process.
Responsibilities
- Administer skilled nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
- Care for newborns and monitor labor progress.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and ensure patient safety.
- Lead and coordinate the healthcare team in delivering care.
- Educate families on care plans and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with unit policies and standards.
Qualifications
- A graduate degree from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid RN license in the state of Nevada.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
