Job Summary
The Patient Monitor plays a crucial role in maintaining patient safety by providing ongoing visual supervision and intervening when necessary, all under the guidance of a registered nurse. This position is integral to patient care, as it involves assisting with a variety of fundamental caregiving tasks.
Responsibilities
- Continuously observe patients to ensure their safety and report any concerns to the registered nurse.
- Assist patients with essential care activities including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
- Document and communicate observations regarding patient status and behavior to nursing staff.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is necessary.
- Preferred: Certification as a State Tested Nurse Aide.
