Job Summary
Resources (NYSE: PR) is actively looking for a dedicated JIB Accountant to join our team in Midland, Texas. This position will report directly to the JIB Supervisor and entails managing financial accounts related to joint operating agreements (JOAs) or COPAS. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with these agreements and addressing discrepancies associated with non-allowable items.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain accounting records in alignment with joint operating agreements and COPAS.
- Resolve disputes regarding items considered non-allowable.
- Record financial entries related to the company’s assets and operations.
- Manage accounts involving company-owned equipment and well control insurance for both drilling and producing wells.
Qualifications
- Experience in accounting, particularly related to joint interest billing.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards concerning JOAs and COPAS.
- Proficiency with accounting software and reporting tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
