Job Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Orthopedic Clinic at North Liberty Hospital plays a critical role in supporting the management and operational functions of the clinic. This position involves assisting the Nurse Manager with daily activities, overseeing nursing staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care services in a specialized orthopedic environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Nurse Manager in the administration and clinical operations of the orthopedic clinic.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and performance excellence.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards to enhance patient care and safety.
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing clinic workflows to optimize patient flow.
- Participate in patient assessments and care planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and care providers to address concerns and improve satisfaction.
- Engage in ongoing evaluation of clinic performance metrics and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the state.
- Previous experience in orthopedic nursing or a similar clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Critical thinking skills with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred; advanced training or certification in specialty areas is a plus.
