Job Summary
The Production Operator role involves carrying out various tasks associated with operating machinery and equipment across different shifts. This position requires significant physical activity to ensure efficient production processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate bagging and packaging machinery to meet output and operational metrics.
- Load, palletize, and transport products to designated storage areas.
- Make adjustments and perform minor repairs to sustain production workflows.
- Adhere to production schedules and document operational records accurately.
- Assist in maintaining a supply of necessary salt grades on the production line.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Capability to operate powered industrial vehicles is necessary.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules is essential.
- Willingness to work additional hours and weekends as required.
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs consistently and maintain a fast work pace for prolonged periods.
- Frequent physical tasks include bending, carrying, and pulling weights up to 65 lbs, along with twisting, reaching, feeling, and finger dexterity.
- Must have good hearing acuity and depth perception due to the nature of the work environment.
- Work may expose the operator to noise levels of 80 dB or higher and environmental factors like vibration, dryness, and dust.
- Personal protective equipment such as eye, hearing, head, and foot protection is mandatory.
