Job Summary
The role of a Surgical Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery is essential for providing support during surgical procedures involving the heart, lungs, and other thoracic organs. Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team with various tasks during cardiothoracic procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the surgical equipment and instruments to ensure readiness for surgery.
- Support physicians and surgical staff in patient care before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Monitor patient’s vital signs and assist in managing anesthesia as required.
- Ensure all surgical protocols and procedures are followed to maintain patient safety.
Qualifications
- Required prior experience in a cardiothoracic surgical environment.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and equipment used in cardiothoracic procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a surgical team.
