Job Summary
The In-Home Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support and care to patients in the comfort of their residences. This role is fundamental in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their wellbeing, and promoting a safe and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance patients’ quality of life.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ health status to the nursing team.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Administer basic healthcare tasks, such as taking vital signs and checking blood sugar levels.
- Assist with mobility and transfer of patients to prevent fall risks.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for the patient.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and provide personal care.
- Compassionate and patient-oriented attitude towards care.
