**Peer Support Specialist**
The Peer Support Specialist serves as both a mentor and advocate for individuals involved in treatment courts, helping them achieve their recovery objectives and develop essential life skills. This role includes offering direct assistance through community interactions, helping clients get to appointments, and keeping thorough records of their progress. Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and have a strong foundation in their own recovery journey. Preferably, applicants will have at least five years of experience in the fields of substance use and mental health services, along with an understanding of HIPAA regulations and administrative record-keeping practices.
