Lead competitive benchmarking across search, vector and hybrid retrieval, analytics, and observability workloads by building automated, reproducible tests and representative datasets. Analyze performance and cost tradeoffs, collaborate with engineering and product teams to guide improvements, and help publish clear reports documenting methods, findings, and limitations. Candidates should have strong software engineering skills, experience evaluating performance in distributed systems, databases, or search infrastructure, and depth in at least one relevant technical area. They should be able to design representative workloads, conduct sound repeatable experiments, build reproducible test environments, communicate findings clearly, and turn evidence into engineering recommendations.
