Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is tasked with ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment within the facility. This role is essential for minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity through timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of machinery to identify issues.
- Perform repairs and alterations to equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis to reduce equipment failure.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment history.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation and prompt resolution of mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferable.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
