Job Summary
The Registered Nurse / RN OR Circulator plays a pivotal role in managing the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. This position requires expertise in nursing practices within the operating room environment, ensuring that all aspects of patient safety and care are meticulously executed. The RN Circulator serves as a vital component of the surgical team, coordinating activities in the OR and ensuring that the needs of the patient and the surgical team are met throughout the procedure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of the operating room and the surgical instruments.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a seamless flow of operations.
- Monitor the patient’s condition before, during, and after surgery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff regarding patient care.
- Maintain sterile techniques and uphold safety standards in the OR.
- Document all relevant information pertaining to patient care and surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Current RN license valid in the state of employment.
- Previous experience in surgical nursing or operating room settings is preferred.
