Job Summary
The Neonatal Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients. This role involves implementing and monitoring respiratory therapies that are crucial for patient recovery and well-being in various healthcare settings, ensuring the highest standards of care for this vulnerable population.
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage respiratory therapy treatments to neonates and children.
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized care plans based on their specific needs and conditions.
- Monitor and assess patient responses to therapies and adjust treatment as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.
- Educate patients’ families about respiratory care techniques and disease management.

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in respiratory care for neonatal and pediatric patients.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Specialized experience or certification in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapies and equipment relevant to patient care in this demographic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in high-stress situations and make quick, informed decisions.
