Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a proficient Project Manager who will spearhead extensive, cross-departmental projects that align with the strategic goals of our business in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing setting. This position entails overseeing the execution of projects, creating governance frameworks, managing finances and timelines, and ensuring the effective delivery of multifaceted enterprise programs.
The successful candidate will possess robust leadership skills, in-depth project management knowledge, and the ability to engage effectively with executive stakeholders while leading teams across various functions and departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee intricate enterprise-level projects that are in line with the company’s strategies and priorities.
- Administer budgets, timelines, resources, and the overall execution of projects.
- Create and uphold governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and performance indicators for projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and address project-related risks, dependencies, and challenges.
- Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Deliver regular updates and reports to executives concerning project status and results.
- Guide and mentor team members and engineering staff.
- Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of project governance and operational practices.
- Maintain alignment between strategic aims and daily project activities.
- Assist with change management efforts related to project execution.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 4 years in project management is required.
- Proven experience in managing large, complex enterprise projects.
- Preferred certifications include PMP or PgMP.
- Background in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or other regulated industries is desirable.
Technical Competencies
- Proficient in leading cross-functional teams and coordination.
- Ability to align strategic planning with execution.
- Competence in budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight.
- Skill in communicating with executives and creating reports.
- Expertise in managing project risks and dependencies.
- Experience with portfolio reporting and performance evaluation.
- Familiarity with organizational change management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
