Job Summary
The position of Operating Room Registered Nurse at a Level III Trauma Referral Center provides a dynamic opportunity for professionals dedicated to surgical nursing. This role involves working four 10-hour shifts each week and will require availability for on-call duties. The nurse will be integral to a team that manages a diverse array of surgical specialties in a high-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room environment.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Monitor and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Respond to on-call requests as needed, with a commitment to at least one weekday and 1-2 weekend days per month.
Qualifications
- Current RN license and certification in the relevant nursing specialty.
- Experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a trauma center.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to handle high-stress situations.
