Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to create images of various parts of the body. This role involves ensuring patient safety and providing high-quality imaging services in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely to patients.
- Position patients appropriately for imaging and ensure their comfort during procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient doses, and quality assurance checks.
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret images and assist in diagnosis.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in radiation protection.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT) required.
- Active state licensure in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and experience with imaging equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
