Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room is a critical part of the surgical team, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are available and sterile before and during surgical procedures. This role emphasizes a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a sterile environment to facilitate successful surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.
- Ensure that instruments and supplies are ready and properly sterilized.
- Mix medications in the sterile setting as required.
- Assist with patient skin preparation prior to surgery.
- Collaborate actively with surgeons and other medical staff to promote efficient workflow during operations.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a surgical technician is preferred.
