Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA) plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by providing clinical support and administrative assistance in various medical settings. This position is essential for ensuring that operations run smoothly while offering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Gather and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling and reminders.
- Ensure the cleanliness and functionality of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for testing.
- Educate patients about medications and treatment protocols as directed by physicians.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA).
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in medical assisting is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures.
