Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers with patient care responsibilities, which encompass various clinical tasks and administrative duties to facilitate the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatment procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients.
- Collect and handle specimens as required for testing.
- Oversee clerical functions such as scheduling appointments and managing patient charts.
- Perform insurance verification to assist in the billing process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- Possession of a recognized medical assistant certification such as CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA.
- At least one year of experience in a healthcare or public contact role is preferred.
