Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician II plays a pivotal role in healthcare by performing complex laboratory tests and analyses crucial for patient diagnosis and treatment. This position requires proficiency in laboratory operations and strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and procedures accurately.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure reliability of test results.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Document results and communicate findings to appropriate medical personnel.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and laboratory staff.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent education.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized body.
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
