Job Summary
The Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of various projects within the organization. This role will ensure proper accounting practices are applied, maintain financial records, and assist in budget tracking and reporting for successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets and monitor financial performance throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements related to project expenditures.
- Collaborate with project managers to facilitate accurate financial forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Oversee invoicing processes and manage accounts payable associated with projects.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and inform stakeholders of potential risks or opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
