Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR is a vital member of the surgical team responsible for providing support during surgical procedures. This role entails preparing the operating room, ensuring the proper sterilization of instruments, and maintaining a safe environment for patients throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing for operations, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and readily available.
- Be actively involved in patient safety protocols during surgeries.
- Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
- Support the surgical team with communication and collaboration to assure efficient procedure flows.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred or required.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
