Job Summary
The role of the Surgical Technologist – OR is crucial in the operating room environment. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aiding surgical teams by providing essential support during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is functioning optimally, and maintaining patient safety throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and maintaining the operating room for surgeries.
- Ensure the sterilization and availability of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Monitor patient safety protocols and implement strategies to minimize risk.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate smooth surgical operations.
Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent education.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
