Job Summary
Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is in search of a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Seattle, Washington. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and actively supporting surgeons during operations while prioritizing patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are arranged and operational.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures to facilitate effective surgical operations.
- Assist in maintaining sterility throughout the surgical process to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure a cohesive working environment in the OR.
- Participate in post-operative care, including cleaning and preparing the operating room for subsequent surgeries.
Qualifications
- Credentials as a Surgical Technologist are required.
- Experience in a surgical setting is preferred to effectively support the operational needs in the OR.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail is crucial for the role.
