Job Summary
The pharmacist plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating medication management on a daily basis, which encompasses clinical services, sterile compounding, and the dispensing of medications. This position also involves active participation in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and responding to emergency situations to uphold safe medication practices.
Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise daily medication management operations.
- Oversee and provide clinical services related to medications.
- Implement sterile compounding processes.
- Dispense medications accurately and safely.
- Engage in multidisciplinary rounds to collaborate on patient care.
- Participate in emergency response initiatives to ensure effective medication regimens.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
- Current California Pharmacist license is necessary.
- Preferred completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
