Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a critical role in the operating room by facilitating surgical procedures. This position requires expertise in preparing the surgical environment, sterilizing instruments, and providing essential support to the surgical team to ensure the utmost safety and effectiveness during surgeries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and tools.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor sterilization processes to assure compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper handling of instruments.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and operating room procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
