Job Summary
The City of Whitefish is on the lookout for a dedicated Maintenance Technician. This role involves overseeing various maintenance tasks across city facilities, ensuring that both public spaces and athletic amenities are kept in optimal condition. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities and public recreational areas.
- Manage the upkeep of athletic fields and tennis courts.
- Assist in irrigation maintenance and repair tasks.
- Follow directives from supervisors and collaborate with the City Manager on various projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance work, particularly in public infrastructure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from leadership.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and sports field maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Eligibility for Public Service Student Loan forgiveness is a plus.
