Job Summary
The Lead Test Engineer is responsible for offering strategic direction and overseeing daily laboratory activities to guarantee the operational readiness of testing equipment and the upkeep of the testing environment. This role involves collaboration with program management and engineering teams to harmonize testing strategies, address equipment issues, and guide junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the laboratory to ensure all test equipment is fully operational.
- Work closely with engineering and program management to establish effective testing strategies.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment anomalies as they arise.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
- At least 6 years of experience in test engineering or laboratory management.
- Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, or system-level testing.
