Job Summary
The role involves designing and developing real-time platform notification services utilizing Scala and Akka. The position also encompasses overseeing intricate systems and infrastructure tasks while providing guidance on technical strategies. Additionally, the individual will take charge of development and testing processes, ensuring engineering standards are maintained, mentoring fellow engineers, and working closely with both end users and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time notification services with Scala and Akka.
- Manage complex infrastructure projects and influence technical direction.
- Lead development and testing efforts, ensuring high engineering quality standards.
- Mentor and support engineers in their professional growth.
- Collaborate effectively with end users and internal customers to meet their needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or a master’s degree paired with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Java 8+ development.
- A minimum of 3 years working with Scala and 2 years of experience using Akka.
- Strong foundational knowledge of computer science principles.
- Proficiency in developing scalable and resilient systems.
- Familiarity with cloud services, database management, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in technical leadership roles is preferred.
