Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing manufacturing processes, guiding machine operators, and ensuring that production targets are achieved while adhering to stringent quality benchmarks. This position entails providing mentorship to team members, resolving technical challenges, and fostering a safe, productive atmosphere on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations during the second shift.
- Coordinate activities of machine operators to align with production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Mentor and support staff to enhance their skills and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in a machining role within a metal fabricating setting.
- Proficiency in the operation of CNC Lathes and Mills.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings effectively.
