Job Summary
The Admissions LPN/Intake Specialist plays a critical role in facilitating secure and prompt psychiatric admissions. This position involves overseeing intake operations, organizing patient documentation, and conducting nursing assessments to ensure a smooth transition for patients entering care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the intake process for psychiatric admissions, ensuring safety and timeliness.
- Prepare and manage patient charts for new admissions.
- Conduct nursing assessments to evaluate patient needs.
- Deliver direct patient care and administer prescribed medications.
- Facilitate effective communication during the transfer of patients to the receiving unit.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid and unrestricted LPN license in Arizona.
- Have a minimum of two years of general nursing experience, with at least one year dedicated to psychiatric nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current certifications in BLS/CPR and CPI are mandatory.
