Responsibilities also include overseeing sterilization machinery, managing inventory, and ensuring the correct disposal of sharp objects from the surgical area. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two years of experience in a sterile processing setting. A Central Service Technician certification is necessary, and candidates must have the physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
