Job Summary
The Activity Assistant plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by organizing and documenting social, recreational, and spiritual engagement activities. This position focuses on addressing both the physical and emotional well-being of individuals within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a variety of activities that foster resident engagement.
- Document and assess the effectiveness of programs in meeting residents’ needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Conduct interviews with residents to gather information and insights for personalized activity planning.
- Maintain and update resident care plans as needed.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in quarterly charting of resident activities and progress.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with residents.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with the elderly.
- Experience or education related to recreational therapy or related fields is preferred.
