Job Summary
The Background Check Specialist is responsible for overseeing and documenting the processes involved in background check investigations, while ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state laws. This role involves performing quality assurance audits and offering support and direction to both staff and management concerning background check protocols and findings.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and document background check investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state background check regulations.
- Conduct quality assurance audits.
- Provide guidance to staff and management on background check requirements and results.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or a GED is required; a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
