Billing Specialist

Avon, OH The Billing Specialist is a critical role requiring a professional who is already knowledgeable in construction billing and can work independently with minimal training. The ideal candidate understands construction billing processes, knows what needs to be done, and can execute accurately and efficiently from day one. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process construction billings, including:
• AIA billing (G702/G703), Percentage-of-completion billings, Progress billings and retainage

• Review contracts, job cost reports, and project documentation to ensure accurate billing
• Track, prepare, and bill change orders
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve billing questions and discrepancies
• Ensure billings comply with contract terms and client requirements
• Maintain organized and accurate billing records and supporting documentation
• Monitor billing schedules and assist with follow-up on outstanding invoices
• Support month-end close activities related to construction billing  

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business OR equivalent relevant experience
• Previous experience with construction billing
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and job cost concepts
• Experience with AIA billing, retainage, and progress billing

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Foundation Software (preferred)
• Prior experience in the construction industry
• Familiarity with trucking and excavation operations is a plus
