Job Summary
The Bioinformatics Technician will enhance the workflows within Regulatory Science by optimizing processes through automation, effective data management, and innovative software solutions. This position is responsible for pinpointing areas for process improvement, creating proof-of-concept tools, and facilitating the scaling of effective solutions. The technician will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams including scientific, regulatory, and IT departments to ensure the delivery of precise, accessible, and efficient outcomes. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and AI-driven automation tools is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the design and execution of technical solutions that refine workflows associated with Regulatory Science.
- Spot opportunities for automating repetitive tasks and data-heavy processes.
- Create, test, document, troubleshoot, and deploy automation solutions for workflows.
- Utilize Microsoft Power Platform tools like Power Automate and Power Apps for business process automation development.
- Transform scientific and regulatory requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess existing processes for increased efficiency and consistency.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications and assist in transitioning successful concepts to production settings.
- Employ AI-driven tools to expedite development and implementation of solutions.
- Manage scientific and regulatory datasets to enhance organization, quality, and workflow efficiency.
- Facilitate data integration between various systems and applications.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions, workflows, and processes.
- Monitor existing solutions and suggest improvements based on feedback and evolving business demands.
- Remain updated on advancements in artificial intelligence, automation, bioinformatics, data management, and low-code/no-code platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and regulatory mandates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience with scientific, biological, laboratory, regulatory, or organized datasets.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving expertise.
- Proven capability to learn and implement new technologies effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy.
- Adept at working with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
