Job Summary
The Blasting & Finishing Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by conducting surface treatment through blasting and finishing techniques. This position is essential for ensuring product quality and appearance, following established processes to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of products.
Responsibilities
- Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of items prior to finishing.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Complete routine maintenance on blasting and finishing equipment to prevent downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is an advantage.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially in blasting or finishing processes.
- Understanding of safety protocols and best practices for operating equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate potential issues with supervisors.
- Physical ability to lift and handle materials and operate machinery safely.
