Job description
Job Summary
The Stationary Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various heating, cooling, and mechanical systems. This role involves monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, and other HVAC systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure mechanical systems are functioning properly.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs as needed.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain detailed logs of operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the training of junior engineers and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is preferred.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining stationary systems.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification as a stationary engineer is an advantage.
