The Business Systems Analyst will spearhead new implementations and address ongoing client requirements by converting business needs into technical solutions. This position serves as a vital bridge among clients, vendors, and internal tech teams, ensuring that projects are executed accurately and effectively while meeting client expectations. As an advocate for clients, the analyst will promote successful results through excellent communication, data interpretation, and adept problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst:

• Interpret and convert data between proprietary and standard formats; leverage system data to efficiently resolve business challenges.
• Draft and enforce functional requirements, technical specifications, and template documentation to align with client-driven business objectives.
• Examine intricate data files, generate mapping documents, clarify client needs, and offer advice on best practices.
• Utilize SQL databases to examine data inputs and outputs, identifying coding discrepancies and necessary system modifications.
• Articulate the internal product’s technical functions while comprehending client needs to direct both internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a connector between teams; submit system enhancements and defects, confirm fixes, and collaborate with the QA team to validate development.
• Foster and develop strong working relationships with both prospective and current clients.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of clients, including executives, technical teams, and end-users; confidently lead discussions with decision makers and IT specialists.
• Collaborate with IT and internal departments to create or enhance client products by documenting requirements, validating solutions, conducting testing, and producing end-user documentation and training.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancement and escalate issues as necessary.
• Show the capability to pose insightful questions, develop actionable plans, and independently deliver high-quality projects.
• Oversee the implementation of new payment delivery technologies as necessary, managing project plans, facilitating status meetings, and coordinating issue resolution.
• Engage in daily internal meetings related to ongoing projects.
• Contribute to the Software Development Lifecycle by utilizing Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Qualifications for the Business Systems Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or comparable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare sector with providers and/or payers concerning claims and payment processes.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or comparable position.
• Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Required knowledge of SQL databases; familiarity with Crystal Reports is preferred.
• Prior experience with Agile methodologies, including KANBAN and Scrum, is advantageous.
