Job description
Job Summary
The CAD Technician plays a vital role in assisting the design and engineering teams by creating detailed technical drawings and plans. Their expertise in CAD software ensures that the visual representation of projects aligns perfectly with specifications and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD models of components and assemblies based on provided specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering and design teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Update and maintain existing CAD drawings to reflect changes in design and engineering standards.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards in all drawings and models.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to drafting and design.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- A degree or certification in drafting technology, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
