Job Summary
Intermountain Health is in search of a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position requires expertise in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the highest standards of patient care during cardiovascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in surgical preparation and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and uphold the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Select and manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
- Conduct accurate counts of surgical items to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
- Support appropriate patient positioning and maintain safety protocols during surgeries.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide top-quality, mission-driven care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Experience in a cardiovascular or surgical setting is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
