Job description

Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients while efficiently managing administrative tasks related to patient care. This role acts as a vital link between patients and the healthcare staff, ensuring a smooth patient experience and addressing any concerns that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and assist them with their inquiries upon arrival.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
  • Collect and process patient information while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Handle phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff members as needed.
  • Resolve patient issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers for optimal patient care delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in healthcare is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using office software and healthcare management systems.
