Job Summary
The Carpenter – Restoration Technician plays a crucial role in repairing and restoring structures that have been damaged by various factors, including water, fire, or storms. This position involves employing carpentry skills and techniques to ensure that affected areas are returned to their original state, focusing on quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess damage and develop a plan for restoration projects.
- Execute carpentry work, including framing, installation of doors and windows, and cabinetry repairs.
- Collaborate with other trades and construction professionals to ensure comprehensive restoration outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the restoration process.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, particularly in restoration or renovation projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings may be beneficial.
