Position Overview

As a valued member of the Workers’ Compensation team, the **Case Manager** in Cleveland, Ohio, will have an opportunity to thrive in a role that requires exceptional organizational skills and a passion for supporting others. This position is ideal for someone who likes juggling various tasks while making a significant difference in clients’ lives. While experience in legal matters or workers’ compensation is advantageous, it is not mandatory—candidates who bring solid administrative experience and excellent communication abilities are highly encouraged to apply.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with attorneys and clients to effectively oversee workers’ compensation cases from their initiation through to their resolution, ensuring that all files are well-organized and deadlines are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate new workers’ compensation case files and gather essential client data.
  • Request, receive, and maintain medical records, wage documentation, IME reports, and additional case materials.
  • Engage professionally with clients, healthcare providers, employers, MCOs, as well as BWC and IC representatives in Ohio.
  • Keep precise and organized electronic case files and records.
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and necessary follow-ups to ensure prompt case advancement.
  • Assist attorneys with administrative tasks and case management support throughout the workers’ compensation process.
  • Provide empathetic and responsive client services while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in administrative, customer service, legal support, or case management roles preferred.
  • Legal or workers’ compensation knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to connect with clients in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Outstanding organizational capabilities and detail orientation, with the ability to handle multiple active cases and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Experience with case management software is preferable, or a readiness to quickly grasp new systems.
  • An Associate’s degree, paralegal certification, or a similar combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to learning and personal development.
